Bulldogs prime up for UAAP title defense

National University primes up for its UAAP title-retention campaign by seeing action in the 2015 Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup starting this Saturday at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

The Bulldogs, winners of the 2012 edition, stunned Far Eastern University Tamaraws to snap a 60-year drought in UAAP Season 77 last year.

Tipped as among the favorites this season, the Bulldogs get going on May 8 when they face the University of San Jose Recoletos Jaguars.

The Bulldogs brace for a tough climb to the top after losing forwards Troy Rosario and Glenn Khobuntin and back-up center Henri Betayene.

Returning for the Bulldogs are point guard Gelo Alolino and forward Kyle Neypes who will lead the squad along with Jeffrey Javillionar, the sweet-shooting forward who sat out last season due to a knee injury.

Alfred Aroga will also return along with Ghanaian slotman Issa Gaye and mainstays Rev Diputado, JJ Alejandro, Reden Celda, Paolo Javelona and Anthony Salim. Cedelf P. Tupas
