HOLLYWOOD—For a change, fresh, pretty faces showed up at the Wild Card Gym here Thursday to show their support for Manny Pacquiao.

BACKSTORY: At Wild Card, there’s always someone waiting for Pacquiao

Miss Philippines USA Hannah Marte and Miss Young Philippines USA Aislyn Sebastian turned heads as they sought out their ring superstar countryman.

Both tall, slim and long-limbed at 18, the two beauty queens could pass off as topnotch models.

Though they were unable to meet with Pacquiao as the sparring session was held behind closed doors, Marte and Sebastian did not mind.

The petite beauties said they wanted Pacquiao to know that United States-based Filipinos are all keenly anticipating his battle with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

“We have to be here to support Manny,” the two said. “We’re sure he’s gonna win and bring more glory to the country.”

Marte, who fluently speaks Filipino—she hails from San Pablo City, Laguna—said they remain Filipinos at heart. Both love Filipino food.

Sebastian was born and raised in the US but treasures her Filipino heritage: “We’re proud of our roots and Manny exemplifies the best in the Filipino.”
