PERPETUAL Help leaned on an all-around performance from Nigerian center Bright Akhueitie to repulse University of San Jose-Recoletos, 77-59, Saturday for its second win in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup.

Akhueitie finished with 19 points, 14 rebounds and five assists as the Altas sustained their impressive start in the pre-season tournament at Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

Even without reigning NCAA Most Valuable Player Scott Thompson, who just finished his stint with Sinag Pilipinas in the Seaba, the Altas showed they had more than enough firepower to send the Jaguars to their third loss in four games.

Picking up the slack in Thompson’s absence, Chris Elopre tallied 15 points while Gab Dagangon and G-Jay Ilagan chipped in 12 apiece for the Altas who roared to a strong start before coasting the rest of the way.

Later, Emilio Aguinaldo College trounced fellow NCAA squad St. Benilde, 70-64, for its first victory.  Addum Mbang dished out a big game with 18 points and 17 rebounds
