TAGUM CITY, Philippines — Athletes of the Palarong Pambansa walked out of their dugouts Sunday morning to watch Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight on four huge screens set up at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex here in Mankilam village.
Thousands have started to troop to the sports complex for the fight.
Live telecasts sponsored by local governments and private entities were already drawing hundreds of viewers to gymnasiums and other venues across the city’s 23 barangays (villages).
