Pacquiao is a name that looms large even in the mind of children.
Aaron and Joshua Gravado were among the hundreds of people who trooped to the Marikina Freedom Park on Sunday to watch the mega fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.
It was their first time to watch Pacquiao’s fight and their excitement could not be hidden.
“Sana manalo siya,” ( I hope he wins) four-year-old Aaron told INQUIRER.net
He said he was excited to watch Pacquiao throw his punches at the undefeated Mayweather.
“Idol kasi namin siya,” (He is our idol) five year-old Joshua said.
While watching the undercard fight ahead of Pacquiao’s bout, Aaron and Joshua were chanting “Go Manny, Go Manny!”
Aaron and Joshua said they wanted to be like Pacquiao when they grow up.
On Sunday morning, hundreds of Marikina residents trooped to the city’s freedom park and to the city hall for the live public viewing of Pacquioa’s fight against Mayweather.
