Southwoods Invitational stakes fabulous prizes
THE 2015 Southwoods Invitational, Manila Southwoods’ annual blue-ribbon member-guest tournament, comes off the wraps on May 6 to 9 with about 400 players clashing for top team honors and fabulous prizes.
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. and Diamond Motors Corp. are putting up a brand-new Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLS Automatic for a hole-in-one while Royal Caribbean International Baron Travel Inc. is staking a Mediterranean Greek Isle Cruise for two, including airfare.
Mit-Air Inc. is also offering a 1.5 HP inverter-type airconditioning unit for an ace with the three prizes to be raffled off if no one scores a hole-in-one.
Article continues after this advertisementOrganizers have lined up a two-batch competition with the first to play on May 6 and 8 and the other on May 7 and 9. Play format will be aggregate Modified Stableford.
Shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. at Legends and at 8 a.m. at Masters.
The 36-hole tournament is composed of a member and his/her guest with titles to be disputed in Divisions I (Up to 9.9 handicap), II (10-14.9, III (15-19.9) and IV (20 and above). The event will also feature a Sponsors and Guest division.
