FEU Lady Tams, NU Bullpups forge decider
MANILA, Philippines—No celebrations yet as the Far Eastern U Lady Tamaraws and National U Bullpups forged winner-take-all game three against separate foes Tuesday in the 74th UAAP women’s and juniors’ action respectively at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Lady Tamaraws thrashed back-to -back champions Adamson Lady Falcons, 72-50, while the Bullpups rallied to turn back the FEU Baby Tamaraws, 57-46.
Game three of both divisions will be on Sunday at the FilOil-Flying V Arena in San Juan with the women’s game pegged at 1 p.m. to be followed by the juniors match at 3 p.m.
Article continues after this advertisementThe resilient Bullpups came roaring back and pulled away in the payoff period after trailing behind the Baby Tams at the intermission, 29-19.
The Baby Tams never regained the lead after the Bullpups finally took the upper hand, 40-39, in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter.
FEU was held to just seven points in the payoff period while letting the Bullpups out of their leash and explode for the come-from-behind win.
