The question in the survey, which was answered by 3,980 respondents, was “Will #PacMay, the so-called Fight of the Century, live up to the hype?”
More than 1,011 readers said that Sunday’s fight will become a “boring display of boxing, ending on the scorecards.”
Of the number, 903 readers said that the fight will live up to the hype because the undefeated defensive boxer will decimate the Filipino boxer.
On the other hand, 899 respondents said that the “fight of the century” will become one of the greatest fights ever.
Meanwhile, only 835 voters believed that Pacquiao will knockout Mayweather “in a convincing fashion.”
Lastly, 332 voters believe that both boxers will give a lackluster performance because they are both past their prime.
Mayweather won through a unanimous decision and kept his professional record unblemished, 48-0.
During the post-fight interview, Pacquiao revealed that he could not use his right hand “100 percent” because of a tear on his right shoulder.
The INQUIRER.net survey was conducted days before the May 3 (Philippine time) fight.” AJH
