A sequel of “The Fight of the Century” could happen.
ESPN First Take on its Twitter account said that Floyd Mayweather Jr. sent reporter Stephen A. Smith a text on Tuesday late evening (Manila time) , saying he will give Manny Pacquiao “another shot in a year.”
Mayweather defeated Pacquiao on Sunday (Manila time) to unify the WBA, WBO, and WBC Welterweight titles via unanimous decision in a fight that took half-a-decade to happen.

At 38-years-old, Mayweather (48-0) still has one fight left on his six-fight contract with Showtime and had said that is fighting in September.
Pacquiao (57-6-2), 36, fought Mayweather with a torn rotator cuff on his right shoulder that would need surgery to fix.

The camp of the Filipino boxing champion did not disclose the injury before fight night with Pacquiao only revealing it at the post-fight press conference.
After his surgery this week in Los Angeles, recovery time for Pacquiao is expected to be three to eight months long.
