University of Santo Tomas dethroned Centro Escolar University-CafeFrance, 78-71, to rule the Smart-PCABL 4th Dickies Cup held over the weekend at Philippine Buddhacare gym in Quezon City.
Maica Cortez topscored for the Tigresses with 17 points, while Angelica Anies and Bettina Penaflor combined for 10 of UST’s 22 points in the payoff period.
Penaflor finished with 16 points while Candice Magdaluyo and Jhenn Angeles had 14 each in the tournament backed by CW Home Depot and Powerhouse and K-Tech Sports Inc.
Janine Pontejos fired 23 points for CEU.
