Paeng rolls 2749, leads early BWC finalists
Six-time world champion Paeng Nepomuceno displayed his old form to lead the initial batch of finalists in the 2015 Bowling World Cup national tournament held recently in 13 centers. Nepomuceno, 58, had a 12-game series of 2749 pinfalls at Paeng’s Midtown center to pull away from his much younger rivals in the event’s first center finals. Anne Marie Kiac emerged surprise ladies frontrunner by scoring 2174 in 10 games at Coronado Lanes. The winners will represent the country in the Nevada finals on Nov. 13 to 20.
