Their much ballyhooed fight may have been over but Floyd Mayweather Jr. has probably launched the biggest haymaker.
Mayweather said in a story on Fighthype.com that he knew everything that happened during Manny Pacquiao’s training camp before their welterweight unification fight on May 2 at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
“Everything Manny Pacquiao did in his camp every day, I knew,” Mayweather said in the interview.
“I knew when he boxed, I knew when he didn’t box. I knew how many rounds he boxed. I knew how he was looking. I knew when his legs were cramping. I knew everything.”
Mayweather trumped Pacquiao via unanimous decision to unify the the WBC, WBO, and WBA Welterweight titles in a fight of their generation’s biggest boxers.
“Anybody I face, I have to know everything about them. It’s the art of war. I always have to be steps ahead of you.”
