Ryan Monsalve and partner Paolo Uy assembled a 284 to capture the overall gross championship while Manolo Agojo and Edsel Opulencia took the overall net crown with a 164 in the 2015 Southwoods Invitational at Southwoods’ Legends and Masters Courses in Carmona, Cavite, recently.
Monsalve shot a 69 and 67 while Uy carded a 76 and 72 at the Legends layout for a gross 284 in the 36-hole tournament, Manila Southwoods’ premier member-guest tournament.
Monsalve and Uy ended up with a net 162.
Renie Floro and Ruel Cabral pooled 156 points under the Aggregate Modified Stableford scoring system, nipping Poch Hernandez and Junie Fontanilla, who also scored a 156, in the countback to bag the Division I crown.
The event, backed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, Diamond Motors, Royal Caribbean Int’l Baron Travel, Mit-Air, Kart Plaza and The Turf Company, will donate proceeds to the victims of Typhoon “Glenda.”
Arnie Janolo scored a hole-in-one on the 187-yard No. 3 of the Masters using a Rescue 5. He and a member partner also topped the Sponsors/Guest division.
