Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao on Thursday has cancelled his trip to General Santos City on Friday.

A radio report said Pacquiao decided to cancel his trip to his hometown after his injured shoulder bled during his motorcade along Makati and Manila on Wednesday.

The camp of Pacquiao, however, assured he has been given medical attention after his motorcade.

The boxing icon took a rest at the Manila Hotel before he made his courtesy call to President Benigno Aquino III on Wednesday afternoon.

General Santos City has been prepared to give Pacquiao a hero’s welcome and full military honors had the boxing champion’s original schedule push through.
