Princess Superal blew a big comeback with two late bogeys, finishing with an even 72 to stay three strokes behind leader Parinda Phokan after two rounds of the Singha-Sat Thai LPGA Championship in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand, late Thursday.
Superal recovered from a bogey on No. 4 with birdies on Nos. 6, 7 and 13 to close in on the leader but the Team ICTSI-The Country Club spearhead fumbled with bogeys on 14 and 18 and dropped to joint fifth with a 143.
“I could’ve closed in on the leaders, but missed putts from close range,” said Superal.
Opening day leader Pattaraporn Mounchoo, who fired a 68 Wednesday, skied with an 84 and dropped to joint 29th at 152.
Abby Arevalo missed the cut pegged at 153 as she limped with an 80 for a 159.
