Jay Bayron fired a two-under-par 70 yesterday and seized a two-shot lead over Antonio Lascuña, becoming the third leader in as many days of the P3.5-million ICTSI Anvaya Cove Invitational in Morong, Bataan.
Bayron nursed a four-under card before signing for a double bogey-6 on the 18th hole and settling for a 209 total going into today’s final round.
Lascuña shot a 71 to be at 211, one clear of Orlan Sumcad and Cassius Casas.
Sumcad cracked par for the third straight day like the two players above him in the leaderboard, his 70 pulling him even with Casas, who had a 71.
Second-round leader Micah Shin ballooned to a 77 and slipped five shots off the pace, his chances for a first pro win taking a major blow.
Angelo Que double bogeyed the 17th —which everyone in the top eight birdied—and settled for 74-215, one ahead of Frankie Miñoza and Miguel Tabuena who both carded 72s. Musong R. Castillo
