UFC Fight Night Manila: Ning takes TKO win over Wee

Just in the nick of time, Ning Guangyou scored an impressive technical knockout over Royston Wee in their bantamweight match in the UFC Fight Night Manila: Edgar vs. Faber Saturday evening at Mall of Asia Arena.

Ning landed several big strikes on Wee putting him down to the mat where the Chinese ultimately ended the Singaporean’s four-match win streak.

The referee stopped the match at the 2:59 mark of the first round.

“It’s pretty heavy to get the TKO victory,” Ning said through a translator as he improved to 6-2-1. “Thanks to my family, my kids and my wife, for supporting me.”

There was a momentary lull in the action when Wee’s kick accidentally hit Ning in the sensitive area.
