YOUNG aces Jacob Ang and Gabe Tayao Cabrera came through with performances to remember as they ruled the second leg of the 2015 Petron Blaze 100 ROK Karting Super Series at Batangas Racing Circuit recently.
Representing Eagle Cement, Ang overcame a slow start, rallying from a seventh-place finish in the Qualifying Heat to capture the KF Junior Blaze 100 crown.
Cabrera stole the thunder from 2013 Karter of the Year VJ Suba on his way to a second successive triumph in the ROK Shifter Senior Max Diesel.
With their wins, both Ang and Cabrera kept the overall series lead in their respective divisions.
The two young aces are competing in the Asia Max Challenge that started yesterday and ends today in Malaysia.
Sanctioned by the Automobile Association Philippines, the race is backed by Petron, Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4, Petron XCS, Petron Ultron, Petron Xtra, Petron Sprint, Magnolia Pure Water and Yokohama.
