Wiggins leads NBA all-rookie team; Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson makes it
Canada’s Andrew Wiggins, the 2014-15 NBA Rookie of the Year, headlines this season’s NBA all-rookie team, the league announced Monday.
Last year’s first overall draft pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers was the lone unanimous choice totaling 130 first-team votes.
The 6-foot-8 shooting guard, averaged 16.9 points and 4.6 rebounds, while playing all 82 games for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Toronto native was the top pick by Cleveland last June and then traded to Minnesota as part of the three-team deal last August that also saw forward Kevin Love go from the Timberwolves to the Cavaliers.
Chicago Bull’s Nikola Mirotic, Philadelphia 76er’s Nerlens Noel, Orlando Magic’s Elfrid Payton and the Los Angeles Lakers’ Jordan Clarkson rounded out the all-rookie team.
