BURBERRY Zhang, Mariel Tee, Annyka Cayabyab and most of the fancied names took their expected spots in the Luzon swing of the Philippine Golf Foundation Junior Masters at the Aoki course of the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club.
While Cayabyab and Zhang cruised to victory in the girls 11-12 and 9-10 years age brackets, respectively, Tee settled for a four-stroke win in the girls 13-14 age-group of the 36-hole tournament that selected the Luzon bets for the national grand finals of the series sponsored by the Philippine Golf Foundation.
The top two finishers per division qualified for the finals which starts today also at Eagle Ridge with the Luzon bets joined by the qualifiers from the Visayas and Mindanao legs.
Annika Guangko ruled the girls 15-17 years division.
The boys winners of the event forming part of the summer circuit also supported by Philippine Airlines, Martin Lorenzo, Golf Depot and Inquirer Golf were Andre Lanuza (9-10), Josh Jorge (11-12), Marc Corrales (13-14) and Nathan Kawpeng (15-17).
