PHILIPPINE Tennis Academy’s Arthur Craig Pantino bagged three titles to lead the winners in the recent Ubay, Bohol leg of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Championship.
Pantino, who hails from Cebu, had an easy 6-0, 6-1 win over Marawi City’s Duma Hakim Boloto in the 16-and-under finals and posted a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Misamis Oriental’s Auden Aron Paduganan in the 18-U championship.
Pantino also shared the 18-U doubles title with Francis Hidalgo after they bested Boloto and Clyde Maricasino, 8-7.
“His stint in this series provides an opportunity for the others to play against a high-caliber opponent as Pantino has long been training and competing abroad with the PTA’s support,” said Cebuana Lhuillier president-CEO and tennis association chair Jean Henri Lhuillier.
Carlyn Bless Guarde from Sultan Kudarat bagged two girls’ crowns after disposing of Cebu bets Elizabeth Abarquez, 6-3, 6-3, in 14-U and Shynne Villareal, 4-6, 6-1, 11-9, in 16-U.
