Jayson Castro came back from injury and made Talk ‘N Text even deadlier starting with a 108-89 win over NLEX Tuesday night in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup at the Cuneta Astrodome.
Castro, who was sidelined with a swollen right Achilles heel, would make sure the Road Warriors knew about his return by putting up 19 points built on four 3-pointers along with five rebounds and five assists.
The Commissioner’s Cup Best Player logged 28 minutes of playing time and showed no rust in his debut this conference after missing the Tropang Texters’ first three games.
“I did not know if he was in shape or if he was in basketball rhythm,” said TNT head coach Jong Uichico of Castro. “But he played very well.”
The win put the Texters in a three-way tie in second place with the Kia Carnival and Alaska Aces at 3-1. CC
