St. Benilde edges Adamson in Filoil pre-season cup

College of St. Benilde used a frantic third quarter to edge out Adamson University, 79-68, and get to the .500 mark in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Preseason Premier Cup Wednesday afternoon at the Arena in San Juan.
The Blazers improved to 3-3 in the tournament while the Falcons fell to 1-4.
From a 36-38 deficit at the end of the first half, CSB outscored Adamson 24-11 in the third quarter and that momentum carried them to the fourth quarter.
JR Ongtengco recorded a 12-point, 16-rebound performance for the Blazers while Jonathan Grey had a team-high 15 points.
JD Tungcab scored a game-high 25 points for the Falcons. CC
