Import Arizona Reid hit the game-winning shot and San Miguel Beer continued its winning ways with a 116-113 win over erstwhile unbeaten Barako Bull in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The two-time Best Import scored on a go-ahead basket, 112-111, with 30.8 seconds left before nailing two free throws and preserving the win with a block on Dylan Ababou’s potential game-tying triple at the other end.

“AZ (Reid) I salute him because he is really a leader of the team,” SMB head coach Leo Austria said.

Reigning MVP June Mar Fajardo and Reid had 22 points each for the Beermen, who notched their fourth win in a row after dropping their first two games. Reid also posted eight rebounds and six assists.

Hulking import Liam Paul McMorrow recorded game-highs of 31 points and 25 rebounds for the Energy, who suffered just their first setback after a 4-0 start.

Forward JC Intal put Barako Bull up by one, 111-110, on a 3-pointer with 51.3 seconds left but got beat by Reid at the other end. CC
