When Aby Maraño plays, she leaves it all on the court, and when she praises her teammates she doesn’t leave anything off.
Maraño told Inquirer.net that she sees a huge potential on her young teammates in the Philippine National Volleyball Team that would compete in the 2015 Singapore Southeast Asian Games, especially UAAP stars Alyssa Valdez and Jaja Santiago.
“They have a very high potential, I think they are the future of Philippine volleyball,” Maraño said during a lull in her photoshoot at the Philippine Daily Inquirer office. “Their level of play is so high right now.”
“Those kids, you will never think that their game is raw or unpolished, no. Right now they can play with everyone.”
Maraño is part of the 12-woman line up for the SEA Games which also includes five players who are fresh from a stint Under-23 squad.
