Rookies Nico Capote and JD Tungcab steered Adamson as the Falcons took an 84-73 win over Emilio Aguinaldo College Friday in the 2015 Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at the Arena in San Juan City.
Capote fired 16 of his 19 points in the second half, to go with his seven rebounds, while Tungcab added 12 markers as Adamson silenced the Generals, 24-9 in the third period.
Papi Sarr was a towering presence for the Falcons as he almost nabbed a double-double with his 20 points and nine boards.
“We were down but the key was how we did the comeback. As long as we play within our system, positive ang laging nangyayari,” said Adamson coach Kenneth Duremdes, as the San Marcelino squad improved to 2-4 in Group A.
Francis Munsayac paced the Generals with 15 points, as EAC fell to 1-6.
