“I don’t really pay attention to that. I just try to go play hard, play smart for my team. As long as we’re winning, I’m ok with whatever my stat is,” he said.

But he said tallying those numbers are worthless if not for the help of his teammates.
“The assists is all about my teammates. I can make the pass but they have to make the shots,” he said. “I have confidence in them and they have confidence in me. We’re just playing to win and we know that’s how to win championships, play together and play defense.”
Winning its fifth straight game, San Miguel has definitely turned the tide after its woeful 0-2 start.

But Ross doesn’t want his squad to get too caught up with their current success.
“It’s big for us, but we know that it’s only the beginning. We won five straight but we know it’s not how you start but how you finish,” he said.
“We missed the playoffs last conference so that has been our fuel. We’ve been working hard in practice and in the offseason and it’s starting to show on the games.” CC
