Women’s water polo bets get Hapee support
A more confident Philippine women’s water polo team will debut in the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore next week.
Initially unsure how to gear up for its campaign, the water polo squad got its training rolling after getting a big boost from Lamoiyan Corporation, the makers of Hapee Toothpaste.
“It’s our own way of helping our national athletes,” said Lamoiyan president and CEO Dr. Cecilio Pedro. “We have been helping our national athletes but this is our first time to help the water polo team. They will compete using their own money so that shows their determination and character.”

“They may not have the experience of other teams, but they have big fighting hearts, so I salute them for that,” said Hapee team manager Bernard Yang. “I wish them well in their drive to gain recognition.”
