As the Philippine Women’s Volleyball team attempts to make an impact in the Southeast Asian Games, two setters from different eras will pluck the harp that sets its harmony.
Veteran Rhea Dimaculangan is the ruling lady when it comes to assisting her teammates, while Jia Morado is the up-and-coming damsel eager to learn from the empress.
For Morado, who better to learn more from than the person she wants to emulate.
“I like talking to her,” Morado said. “She’s like a mentor for me.”
“Even if I’m only watching her, I’m already learning just from looking at her play.”
Dimaculangan is a one-time champion in the UAAP during the last remnants of UST’s power while Morado is a two-time champion with the current champion Ateneo. Sheen Limbo/CC
