NU, DLSZ dispute Freego title
NATIONAL University exacted revenge over UAAP tormentor Ateneo, 76-71, on Thursday and set up a title showdown with De La Salle-Zobel in the 8th Smart-PCABL (Philippine Chinese Amateur Basketball League) Freego Cup at Philippine Buddhacare Academy gym.
The two teams engaged in a fierce shootout in the last 10 minutes that saw the lead change hands several times before John Clemente delivered the telling blows that finally took the fight out of the Eaglets.
Clemente scored seven of his 22 points in the payoff period as the Bullpups go into the winner-take-all match with the Junior Archers, set at 11 a.m. today, unbeaten.

DLSZ had an easy time dispatching Malayan School, 103-73, in the tournament backed by Plastic Linoleum, Hapee Toothpaste, Insular Square (Cebu), Fed Seal, K TechSports Inc., and New Pioneer Auto Supply.
