For Alaska head coach Alex Compton, having a point guard who thinks like a coach like JVee Casio is a positive thing for them.
Even if his realization came off a humiliating loss.
“It’s a huge thing for us when our point guard thinks and speaks like a coach,” Compton said Friday after they sent KIA into oblivion, 101-63.

Compton saw his Aces lose a 13-point lead, 77-64, in the third quarter en route to a 113-102 loss against NLEX on Tuesday.
He said Casio talked to him and said things which he “thought are true.”
“He said, he felt we relaxed after we went up by 13,” Compton said. “NLEX didn’t stop, they deserved to win.”

It wasn’t the action on the court that got the better of Alaska, even the marks on the coaches’ white boards were not on his side.
Compton admitted NLEX head coach Boyet Fernandez was the better tactician on Tuesday.
“Coach Boyet out-coached me. We didn’t adjust quick enough on their adjustments. When you give up 113 points, it’s the coach’s fault.” IDL
