Munro-Murphy duel looms at Regent race
SUBIC—Topnotch pros from Australia led by Casey Munro and Subic resident Michael Murphy engage in a battle for the crown in the inaugural Regent 5i50 Triathlon today here.
Munro, who won the last 5i50 race held in Subic last year, aims for another victory in this Freeport zone against a crack field that includes Murphy, who counts on his familiarity with the environs to scoop the gold in the event sponsored by Regent Foods, the country’s leading snack manufacturing company.
Out to challenge for the top plum in the men’s pro division are Sam Betten, Clayton Fettell, Mitchell Kibby, Justin Granger and Dan Brown.

“I’m looking forward to it, I plan on winning again and beating the heat as well,” Munro said during yesterday’s meet and greet graced by Sunrise president Wilfred Uytengsu and Regent Foods brand manager Jennifer See.
