PH U-12, Adamson rule Kids Cup
ADAMSON-A got big games from brothers Andrey and Adam Doria as the Baby Falcons outclassed the San Sebatian College-Recoletos Staglets, 95-72, and retained their 15-under crown in the 2nd Headstart Developmental Basketball League (HDBL) Freego Kids Cup held last Friday at SGS Stadium.
Andrey Doria was again rampant, coming through with another double-double performance—a game-high 27 points and 11 boards—to claim the Finals MVP award, while Adam Doria added 17 markers and 10 boards in the tournament presented by Freego.
The Dorias drew significant support from John Escalante, who tallied 20 points and five steals as Adamson-B completed its dominance in the 8-team 15-U division of the tournament also sponsored by Duralite and AXA Philippines and organized by Edster Sy with Reynaldo de Vera as tournament commissioner and Willy Chan as tournament director.
In the 12-U division, the Philippine team outlasted the Pinoy Youth Dreamers, 71-62, to clinch the title.
