PH gets boot in Fiba 3×3 World Championship
The Philippines has bowed out of quarterfinals contention in the 2015 Fiba 3×3 U18 World Championship in Hungary.
The four-man team of Kobe Paras, who is competing in his second 3-on-3 stint after participating in the previous edition, Mike Nieto, Richard Escoto and Ricci Rivero, suffered back-to-back setbacks to Russia and Uruguay.
The Filipinos got whipped by Russia, 21-9, before Uruguay pulled the plug on their bid, 19-13.

PH split its first two games of the tournament with a narrow loss to Poland, 15-13, and a tight win over host Hungary, 19-18, last Thursday.
The country put itself in good position to advance with a victory over Kazakhstan before two consecutive defeats to end its campaign.
