SEA Games: PH bet Parantac clinches gold in wushu

Incheon Asian Games medalist Daniel Parantac clinched the first gold in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games wushu competitions for the Philippines, narrowly topping the men’s taijijian Sunday in Singapore.

The 24-year-old Parantac garnered 9.71 points for the top spot, edging Malaysia’s Jack Chang Loh, who wound up with 9.69 points for the silver, and Indonesia’s Kurniawan who had 9.68.

It was the Philippines’ third gold medal in the biennial meet after triathletes Claire Adorna and Nikko Huelgas plucked golds in their respective events over the weekend.

As of posting, the Filipinos have also garnered six silvers medals and and 11 bronzes.  Celest Flores-Colina
