TV5 airs 28th Southeast Asian Games

TV5, the country’s official Olympic broadcaster, once again leads the country’s charge as it rolls out its exclusive coverage of some of the most widely-followed sports in the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.

Basketball fans will be able to keep close tabs on both Gilas Cadets (men’s basketball team) and Perlas Pilipinas (women’s basketball team).

The men’s team, led by Marcus Douthit and Kiefer Ravena, will play their first game against Indonesia on Wednesday.  The game will be aired live at 1 p.m. on TV5, followed by Malaysia on June 11 (4 p.m., TV5) and Timor Leste on June 12 (6 p.m., AksyonTV).

Perlas Pilipinas will begin its bid against Thailand tomorrow (9 a.m., AksyonTV) and Vietnam  on Wednesday (9 a.m., AksyonTV).
The women’s volleyball team, bannered by flag bearer Alyssa Valdez, will take on Indonesia on Wednesday (12 noon, AksyonTV) Malaysia on Thursday (10 a.m., AksyonTV) and Vietnam on Saturday (10 a.m., TV5).
