Fiba 3×3: Kobe Paras retains dunk title

Dunk Contest Qualifiers - Day 3 - 2015 FIBA 3x3 U18 World Championships

Filipino sensation Kobe Paras defended his slam dunk title early Monday morning (Manila time) to culminate the 2015 Fiba 3×3 Under-18 World Championships in Hungary.

After making it past the qualifying round, Paras beat three more worthy challengers–Mark Boros of host Hungary, Agustin Da Costa of Uruguay and North Carolina-commit Jalek Felton of USA, whom he bested in the championship round–to retain his crown.

Paras’ victory  gives the Philippines something to cheer about after the country failed to make the quarterfinals of the 3×3  tournament.

The 6-foot-6 Paras, a UCLA recruit, won the previous edition of the contest two years ago in Indonesia.

Felton is also the nephew of Dallas Mavericks guard Raymond Felton.
