Following the footsteps of Dennis Wolf and Stephan Schröck, another German-based Filipino is ready to make his mark with the Philippine Azkals.

Kevin Ingreso will beef up the Azkals in their campaign in the Asian qualifiers of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the midfielder is just elated to be a part of the squad.

“It’s very great to play with the great players in the team. I’m proud to be here and I hope I can help the team in the qualifying games,” he said.

“The level is higher there, but I think it’s very good for me and the team,” he said.

The 23-year-old, whose father Ricky traces his roots to Manila, also believes that with the level of talent the players are made of, they can deliver the goods come the World Cup qualifiers.

Ingreso is confident that the team’s chemistry will show when the Azkals take the field.

“I’m a good match for the team. We’re good. We understand everything and we have fun together. We’ll see it in the games.” CFC
