Filoil: Heavy Bomber Gio Lasquety doing ‘fine’ after getting hit in the face
Heavy Bombers head coach Vergel Meneses on Wednesday said Jose Rizal University forward Gio Lasquety is in good condition after an in-game accident in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Preseason Premier Cup at San Juan Arena.
Lasquety was hit in the face at the 7:48 mark of the second quarter and had to be fitted with an oxygen mask and later on brought to the hospital.
Article continues after this advertisement“Gio is fine,” Meneses said after his Heavy Bombers dispatched University of the East, 76-67, to advance to the semifinals of the preseason tournament. “I still don’t have the full details but he was brought to the hospital just to make sure.”

Meneses added there is no need to panic as Lasquety’s delivery to the hospital was to ensure the player gets the proper treatment.
