Texters taking it ‘one problem at a time’ after 4th straight loss
Another loss in Talk ‘N Text’s cap sent it further down the standings.
Losing to San Miguel, 89-75, on Tuesday night, coach Jong Uichico admitted that he couldn’t point out what has been hampering the Tropang Texters as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat.

“It’s hard to pinpoint right now. There’s a lot of things that you can say is the problem. You have to take one problem at a time and then, we’ll see what happens in the next few games,” he said.
It was the team’s longest losing streak since San Miguel swept the Tropang Texters, 4-0 in the semifinals of the 2015 PBA Philippine Cup, and only the third time in last five years that the squad has suffered a four-game losing skid.

But Uichico said that it wasn’t just that.
“Championship hangover, it’s part. Injuries also. Some other factors here and there. All put together, it’s a big thing so we can’t solve problems at one given time so we take it one problem at a time,” he said.
At 3-5, Uichico is still optimistic that the team can get itself going and make a late rally to enter the quarterfinals. But it won’t be easy as Blackwater, Star, and Kia remain on the Tropang Texters’ schedule.
“We just have to go home and move to the next game,” he said. “It’s just a matter of attitude. The players are trying. It’s just the second effort needed from every one. Hopefully, it’s not too late.” CFC
