GlobalPort got back to its winning ways on Friday, dealing NLEX a 28-point beatdown, 108-80, to snap its two-game losing streak in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup at Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

It was an all-out domination for the Batang Pier which erected an 18-point lead in the first half, 34-16, and never looked back to reach its franchise’s highest winning margin, capping it off with a 38-point fourth quarter barrage.

“We caught them off-guard because they were coming off of a hard game against Rain or Shine while we were well-rested,” said coach Pido Jarencio. “We were more aggressive. I challenged our players to improve on our defense and limit them to 80 points and below. It’s a positive sign because the players responded.”
