SINGAPORE—Archer Amaya Paz-Cojuangco owns two gold medals in the women’s individual compound of the Southeast Asian Games.

The back-to-back champion in the 2005 Manila and 2007 Nakhon Rachatsima Games plans to add one more at the expense of Malaysian Fatin Nurfatellah Mat Salleh in the Sunday finals of their pet event here at Kallan Cricket field.

Cojuangco, wife of Tarlac Vice Gov. Kit Cojuangco, downed Thailand’s Nareumon Jonsook, 141-135, in the semifinals on Friday.

The men’s and women’s compound squads will also shoot for bronze medals against Singapore after Cojuangco’s individual campaign. The Filipinos tackle the Indonesians for another bronze in the mixed team compound later.

Aside from the archers, Mark Howard Griffith and Maiquel Selga are also bidding to add their share to the country’s gold coffers in the combined team event in wake boarding.

Griffith and Selga nailed a bronze medal each in the men’s individual wake board and women’s individual contest, respectively.
