La Salle Green Hills and La Salle Zobel completed runaway victories in the Junior and Girls 2 divisions, respectively, in the first leg of the ICTSI Interschool golf tournament recently at the Ayala Greenfield Estates Golf and Leisure Club in Laguna.
The LSGH boys reaffirmed their dominance with AR Ramos, Iñigo Raymundo, JP del Claro and Gus Pacheco conspiring for an emphatic 27-point win over La Salle Zobel at the end of the three-weekend series which had its first two legs at Splendido and Capitol Hills.
LSGH finished with 423 while LS-Zobel (Jama Reyes, Miguel Shah, John Molina and Regis Casquejo) wound up at 396. Xavier 1 placed third at 367 and Ateneo 1 fourth at 279.
The La Salle Zobel girls were just as fierce with Pauline del Rosario, Mikha Fortuna, Bernice Ilas, Moscozo Astrud and Karen Ibuna routing Assumption (Annika Cedo, Andrea Pineda, Annika Gozum and Sam Bruce), 279-216.
Winning the individual titles were Marvi Monsalve of St. Paul’s Pasig in Girls 1, Pauline del Rosario in Girls 2 and Justin Quiban of Kennedy International School in juniors.
The tournament is part of the school season series of the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines backed by ICTSI. It is also sponsored by Philippine Airlines, Chevrolet Pancake House Group, Teriyaki Boy and Sizzilin Pepper.
