The Golden State Warriors’ most important player in the NBA Finals came off the bench the whole regular season.

Andre Iguodala started just three times in the Finals. He made the most out of the big moment and he was rewarded with an NBA championship and a Finals MVP plum.

“We got a team full of believers. We all believe. We all have purpose in this team and this is my purpose,” Iguodala told ABC’s Doris Burke  after being presented with the award.

Iguodala, the former All-Star, anchored the Warriors’ defense against the Cleveland Cavaliers’  four-time MVP LeBron James throughout the series.

He finished with 25 points, five rebounds and five assists in Game 6 to help the Warriors close out the Cavaliers on the road.
