Talk ‘N Text finished its elimination schedule with a 94-85 win over Kia on Friday.
With that taken into account, the Tropang Texters now await their fortunes as they allow the other teams to finish and wish that the quotient plays in their favor to advance to the playoffs.
At 5-6, TNT is clinging on to the eighth spot in the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup quarterfinals. However, they still can drop out and make an early exit if teams like Kia, Ginebra, or Meralco rack up wins in their final outings.
And with that underwhelming record, rumors have been running around the league centered on import Steffphon Pettigrew’s ouster.
Averaging 21.4 points and 10.6 rebounds, Pettigrew’s numbers hasn’t really been eye-popping. More so for the undersized Tropang Texters squad which is utilizing him at the five position this eliminations.
But coach Jong Uichico said the team was yet to decide on its next move whether it will let Pettigrew stay or go.
“We haven’t really decided on who, when, or what. We’ll get there, but we still don’t have a decision,” he said.
