/ 02:53 AM June 21, 2015

Sofia Chabon of the Philippines fired  a one-under 71 and ended up second to Raegan Bremer of Anaheim in the Long Beach City Women’s Amateur Championship at Skylinks Golf Club in California, Friday.

Chabon ran out of holes in her comeback bid, settling for two birdies against one bogey for that 71 and a three-day total of 217 over three different courses, failing to defend the crown won by ICTSI-The Country Club teammate Pauline del Rosario last year.

The field tackled the par-73 El Dorado Golf Club in the first round then action shifted to the par-74 Recreation Park Golf Club. Chabon wavered with a 74 at El Dorado but fought back with a two-under 72 at Recreation.
