At 6-foot-8, Akhuetie brings versatility on both ends of the floor while the 6-foot-11 Eze is seen as his bigger backup.
Nevertheless, Altas head coach Aric del Rosario said the two will be vital in leading the team in Season 91 together with reigning MVP Scottie Thompson.
“I expect more from them,” said del Rosario of Akhuetie and Eze. “They will be the anchor of this team, we need them to be rocksolid especially in defense.”
Thompson, who is also part of the Gilas Cadets which won the gold in the Southeast Asian Games, said a championship in the NCAA is his goal before graduating and joining the PBA. CFC
