Etheridge signs 2-year deal with Walsall

FILIPINO international Neil Etheridge secured his club future for the next two years after signing with English League One side Walsall Wednesday.

Coming off back to back solid performances with the Azkals in World Cup Qualifying, the 25-year-old Etheridge joined the Saddlers, who play in the third tier of English football.

Etheridge was one of three foreign-based players whose club careers were uncertain before the World Cup Qualifying began. Iain Ramsay and Luke Woodland are also looking to sign with new clubs before the start of the season.

“It’s great to be at a club where I’m wanted and I have the full support of both manager and goalkeeping coach, my teammates and staff,” said Etheridge who bounced around different clubs the past few seasons.
