AZ Reid wants to take a PBA title home

It’s a rematch that didn’t take long to happen.

San Miguel and Alaska faced each other in the Philippine Cup Finals which instantly became a classic that the Beermen ruled in seven games.

The Governors’ Cup ends with the Beermen and the Aces once again locking horns, this time with imports.

AZ Reid has yet to win a title in the PBA but the two-time Best Import is ready for an opponent that has come to be known as the Never Quit Squad, mainly because he feels he has business to take care of.

“I have one goal, that’s to go home with a championship,” Reid said after his Beermen finished off Rain or Shine, 117-110, in their semifinal bracket.

Alaska has been the king of comeback wins in the 2014-15 season with 13 victories carved out from behind double-digit deficits.

Still, Reid knows he has the whole San Miguel team to rally around.

“It’s not about AZ, it’s about SMB,” Reid said. “When you look at SMB, it’s about winning championships.”

San Miguel does hold the most titles with 20, followed by Alaska with 14.
