NCAA postpones Friday games

Typhoon ‘Falcon’ has made its presence felt even in the local basketball scene after the NCAA postponed Friday’s triple-header at the San Juan Arena.

It was the second time the league cancelled its games this season due to inclement weather, with its Thursday games already set on a later date.

NCAA Season 91 mancom chair Melchor Divina of host school Mapua confirmed the decision as the typhoon continued to ravage the Metro.

Mapua was set to slug it out with undefeated Letran in the curtain raiser at 12 noon, to be followed by the game between league-leaders Perpetual and JRU at 2 p.m. The game between Arellano and St. Benilde would have rounded out the day at 4 p.m.

The postponed games will be rescheduled at the end of the first round.
